Sehe ich das richtig?

Klima-Aktivistys bewerfen Bilder in Museen, die hinter Glas geschützt sind, und erhalten dafür Kritik, weil die Aktion wenig Zusammenhang mit dem Thema hätte und deswegen nicht verständlich sei. Sie sollten doch lieber etwas machen, was tatsächlich mit Klimapolitik zu tun hätte.

Und dann tun sie das und blockieren am Flughafen. Und ernten heftige Kritik, dass man sowas doch ich tun könne, das sei ja gefährlicher Eingriff in die Luftfahrt und überhaupt.

Merkt ihr was? Protest nur erlaubt, wo er nicht wehtut? So funktioniert es aber nicht. Und überhaupt, wer hat überhaupt die Deutungshoheit?

Don't get me wrong: ich liebe die Luftfahrt und für mich wäre es ein Albtraum, nicht mehr fliegen zu können. Leider bedeutet das auch einen viel zu großen CO2-Fußabdruck, das ist mir bewusst. Trotzdem möchte ich darauf nicht verzichten. Aber den Protest an dieser Stelle finde ich absolut richtig und ich unterstütze ihn, auch in seiner Radikalität.

Ja, es sind Straftaten und dessen sind sich auch die Aktivistys bewusst. Umso mehr Respekt habe ich von dem Mut, sich der Strafe zu stellen, für das, für was man einsteht.

We are setting the cultural and technical norms for the next few decades.

So if there's something you wish Mastodon did, or ActivityPub did, just start acting like it already exists.

If enough people want it or need it, it will get added by the software and protocols later.
